Don't try to be a jack-of-all-trades, mastering none. Focus on one path, and you'll achieve your goal. If you can't perform actions without attachment, become a karma yogi. If you can digest knowledge, become a jnani. If you can concentrate on a single point, become a dhayani.
If none of these paths suit you, then become a devotee, for bhakti yoga is the ultimate path. A bowed head at the guru's feet and tears of surrender to the divine are the keys to liberation.
Liberation is not found in grand events or pandals, but in the humble act of surrender. The gurus who preside over these events are often bound by their own ego and limitations, so how can they free you?
